New York Gamma (chartered 1950)
Erie County Technical Institue/ECTI - Buffalo, New York
Status: Alumni

KSK NY Gamma Chapter was founded in 1950 at Erie County Technical Institute in Buffalo, New York. In 1958, a new campus was built in Williamsville, New York just outside Buffalo, and the chapter began to flourish. KSK NY Gamma chapter was the largest fraternity on the ECTI campus from the 1950's until it's dissolution in 1975. The active chapter, and the Buffalo Area Alumni Association, at one time numbered over 200 brothers strong.

NY Gamma contributed greatly to the growth and history of Kappa Sigma Kappa, fostering several prominent national officers. Those brothers including Gregory B. Wildridge, the first Grand President of the New KSK, Robert T. Gramza, Grand Vice President in 1963, and Gary H. Kadow, Grand Vice President in 1970. This chapter was the recipient of the High Gamma Award in both 1957 and 1963, in addition to the High Alpha Award presented to Robert Gramza in 1963.

Although New York Gamma Chapter no longer exists, several dozen alumni still remain in regular communication in the Western New York Area, and throughout the country. The custodian of the records and history of NY Gamma is Gary H. Kadow, former chapter Vice President, Buffalo Area Alumni Director, and past Grand Vice President of Kappa Sigma Kappa. Brother Kadow still resides with his wife Barbara in Buffalo, New York.
